it’s a date
Ikje sat in his office, reclined in the roller chair with both the door and window cracked open to keep the air circulating. His feet were propped up on his desk and he had a small wrapped present in his lap. The tag on it had Dohyeong scrawled onto it in his semi-legible handwriting.
Where is this kid? he thought, slightly worried at the fact that he hadn’t heard anything from him in the past week. It’s not that he thought the kid couldn’t handle himself, more that he just needed some extra support. He checked his phone and shrugged at the lack of notifications. He remembered his dongsaeng saying something about visiting — when though, that was the question. Running a hand through his hair, he let out a long breath. Ikje put the box back on the desk before adjusting himself for a nap.
Dohyeong had come to accept the fact that hyungs would come and go throughout his lifetime. It certainly had been a difficult concept for the hyungwhore to grasp at first but nonetheless, he’d learned to cut his losses and move on. Precious old faces were quickly replaced by new handsome ones. It made the boy seem fickle and perhaps even fake but it ended up being the only way he could cope with the otherwise depressing loss.
There was one particular face that he just couldn’t erase despite how many weeks had gone by, that one teacher at the institution. Dohyeong had certainly met a number of hyungs that had left a particularly big impression on him during his stay there but as per usual, they all faded away as time passed by during their separation, that is, all save for a certain Choi Ikje. The blonde found himself jumping up the familiar stairs towards the classroom after discovering the other male wasn’t out on the fields with his students.
“I wonder what he’s doing. …probably sleeping again.~” Dohyeong snickered to himself as he slid open the door as quietly as possible. Much to his amusement, the older man was indeed taking a nap. He silently slipped in and shut the door behind him, making sure to tiptoe closer to Ikje so as not to wake him up. The blonde had a wide grin plastered on his face as he bent his knees so he could be at the same level as the teacher. “Hyung. …Ikje hyuuuung. …If you don’t wake up, I’m going to assault you.” He whispered, waiting for his beloved hyung to snap back into reality.
No luck though.
Dohyeong raised a hand to poke the other back into consciousness when suddenly it hit him. “This is totally fair, okay hyung? I gave you a warning beforehand.” He continued before leaning forward to quickly steal a kiss. Immediately after, the boy slapped a hand over his mouth before bursting into a fit of giggles. Ah, this was a good reunion so far.
